POPPY DAY

An another day to remember: this time in memory of the people who died in wars. The 11th of November is Poppy Day or Remembrance Day. It is celebrated on this date because the World War I finished at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Nowdays people wear a red paper poppy on their lapels and hold a 2-minute-silence at 11 o´clock. There are parades and ceremonies too.
